Ah, Pen Pals!

Well this weekend I did something fun. *Silence* *Waits for questions* I'm assuming since you saw the title, you'll probably have a guess what this is about. ;) That's right, readers! This past Sunday I got to spend a little over an hour and a half with these fine young ladies! Kai, myself, Megs and Tiff!

Prayers for Bodie/Fundraiser

So. This week, I got my first experience with calling in a vet for a wounded horse. The veterinarians twitching (and sedating) Bodie to check his wound. Bodie has decided this was the week he would experiment with "what happens when you stick your back hoof through the fence and cut it with wire". In short, Bodie nearly cut his hoof off and now has a wound that goes through his heel into his hoof, it's about two inches deep. I found him standing under his shelter Thursday morning around six when I came out to ride before I went to work. Promptly calling the vet, we had them come out and waited anxiously to find what was to become of my favorite Bodie boy. Bodie's wound. That is about two inches deep, I believe. Not sure, they just told me it goes reallyyyyy far in there. It's never good when the vet comes out, takes one look at your horse's leg, and instead of telling you that you'd overreacted and he'll be fine, comments, "Oh. That...
