Siblings are super fun.
We're also very crazy. At least the siblings in my family. My mother likes to keep dry erase boards all over the house to write notes on and grocery lists. More often than not, though, they end up getting hijacked by us, and depending on the mood things can get verrryyy interesting. ;) I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. :D
|
Language class in practice- I was working on my Russian and decided to illustrate the lesson. I did NOT draw the blood, though, that was a different sibling! The words in Russian say "here's my plan!" and I wrote my brother's name in Russian beneath it, to illustrate he was the one the plan was going to happen to. |
|
Grocery list. My sister thought I'd written "AAA batteries" in Russian, so she tried to write in German "dumb head" but misspelled it. In turn I wrote in Russian "shut up", which ordinarily I don't write or say but because she called me dumb head I thought it was warranted. ;) |
|
Another Russian lesson- I wrote "he's my brother", but in Russian, brother is "brat" so I was being mean and calling my brother that. ;) He wasn't amused. ;D |
|
This one has quite a story to it. My sister drew this Swedish character we know named Berwald, and then drew me with our oldest brother on my head? And there's a cat eating my brother, not sure why. She also drew our two other sisters, so I wrote "thank you" in Swedish for the Swede and "you're welcome" in Swedish for myself. (Except I wrote you're welcome wrong, it's varsågod.) My sister's response? |
|
A picture of our other sister taking someone's groceries out. |
|
Then herself with an... ax? I'm not sure why. |
|
And the other two brothers. |
|
So I told her to draw Bekah in her house, so she drew a house with a dot in it and wrote "Bekah is here". |
|
Note to one of my sisters to take care of the chickens while I went to school. I signed it off with my name in Russian along with a "thank you". Of course my ornery little sister replied in German "dumb head" once more. ;D |
|
This last one is very strange and random. I went to visit our Danish neighbors and they asked me to help them clean the house some time. I got really excited because their house is a model of the houses in Denmark, (I feel like I'm going to Denmark whenever I visit) so little sister drew me a picture of me cleaning their house with lots of excited sparkles. ;) |
Random, is it not? I don't even have the really funny ones, I forgot to take pictures of them before they were erased off the board. Do you and your siblings have any strange traditions? Funny, quirky things you do together? I'd love to hear about it in the comments! Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun! We have a chalkboard up in the bedroom, and we draw stuff on it all the time. My sister even drew a hobbit home on it, and we haven't erased it just yet. xD
Oh that's so fun, Felicity! Hehe, I'm glad we aren't the only ones who do this. ;) :D One time we were being naughty and were drawing stick figures doing yoga Nazi style (really, really stupid and naughty), and then afterwards we discovered we'd used a permanent marker instead of a dry erase. We freaked out because we had friends coming over from China that day. ;) We never did that again!

DeleteAnd so that's when you brought out the whitewash, right? XDDD Gosh, I think I would've had some weird things go on in my heart if that ever happened. XD
I discovered rubbing alcohol works rather nice. ;)
DeleteOh, goodness! I had so much fun reading all these. Crazy as they were. :P We don't have dry erase boards, but my sister and I have a chalk wall in our room. . .and you'll never see it in all its normalcy. When people see it we erase it all and write nice things on it. Just to show that we can be nice when we want to. I told someone the other day that if anyone listened to Faith and I, they'd think we hate each other. :P I promise, we can be nice when we want to!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, oh, so a little bit of deception in your case, eh, Jesseca? ;) Don't worry, we are the same way. I mean we call each other really mean things on the boards and make up really random things. Siblings are terrible to each other but we do love each other. :)
DeleteThanks for reading and commenting!
I loved these, Emily! :) We have a dry-erase board in our house for chores, and my siblings have "arguments" on it, or they just write random things on it. I choose to stay out of it. ;)
ReplyDeleteSmart idea, Kaitlyn. ;) But it is sooo much fun to play along. We're all just naughty I guess. :D
DeleteThanks for reading and commenting!
These made me laugh! ;) We have a dry erase board that I usually use for keeping track of the money my mom owes me from chores. Joanna likes to erase what I'm written down and write:
ReplyDeleteJo: $1,0000000000000000000
Lydia: $0.00
So yeah, that's why I'm basically broke! xD
~Lydia~ <3
Lydia that almost made me laugh out loud, but I'm at school right now (I have no student today so I'm just working on stories and blogging, I promise I am not studying! ;D), so I am having to refrain. That is sooo funny. I love it! :D
DeleteThanks for sharing and reading!
Oh, siblings...how funny! I so miss having them for things just like this! :D Thanks for sharing Emily. It definitely made me chuckle. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww are your siblings all moved out, Lydia? That can be hard. I'm so glad you enjoyed!
DeleteThank you for commenting!
We have whiteboards all over our house, too. It can be really fun seeing what turns up on them...a countdown to Christmas in February, a collection of jokes, memorization from Shakespeare, a drawing, a list of school assignments...You never know! It's cool seeing that we're not the only crazy people who do stuff like that. :D
ReplyDelete--KF
Bwahahaha, KF, sounds a lot like our house! The other thing we used to do on our old fridge was draw pictures on it with dry erase markers, because we could do that. Mom used to get really annoyed with us. ;)
DeleteThanks so much for commenting and sharing!
Oh my goodness, that is like so hilarious!!! :D Haha, I love it. Thanks so much for sharing, Emily! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed, Faith! Thanks for commenting! :D
DeleteThat's so funny! You are an interesting family, I must say... ;D
ReplyDelete(but seriously, you all sound like loads of fun!)
So...you're planning on blasting your brother with a cannon? What did he do to deserve it THIS time? ;)
Hehe, Berwald almost looks like Aichear, and "you" look soo happy to be there next to him.. ;)
That last drawing is so cute! What fun! Cleaning a "model" Danish house? So cool! :D
Oh, that's not even half of what we've done before. I didn't post the other ones. ;)
DeleteAnd as far as what my brother did, that's actually my second to oldest brother (who is thirty-one) and I wrote that in Russian because he speaks Russian better than I do, so I was challenging him to read what I'd written. ;) Just being mean, I guess, but it was funny. He drew me with my head popped off because I talk too much. ;)
I am going to do something REALLY bad to you about the Berwald joke... >.< He's my adopted big brother, I'll have you know!;) Everyone assumes that oh never mind! ;)
Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
Whoopsies... Okay, now I'm really scared... O_o ;)
DeleteOh! I meant that it looks like you're happy about being with Aichear! Not that you're happy about being with Berwald! I meant Aichear! ;)
DeleteWell, okay, as long as that's what you meant. ;) And Aichear is also my brother- and guardian. So I have lots of brothers. B-)
DeleteBogie boards. :) That's what we use to write messages, doodles, and sarcastic remarks on. ;)
ReplyDelete"Funner is not a word" I wrote on one...(younger siblings were using it incorrectly a lot that day...just HAD to say something!!)
"More Fun is also not A word" my older sister Margaret wrote back on the other.
"Do NOT write on this bogie board"
"You did, why can't I?"
"It's my bogie board, not yours."
"Fat excuse."
And things like that. ;) Unfortunately, most of the doodles we make on there are dead faces or stick figures. None of us draw very well. :P
Thanks for the post, I had fun reading it!
"
By the way, I tagged you for the Spectacular Book Tag on my blog. Feel free to not do it, but it is fun. B-) Hope your sister is doing well! We've been praying. :)
DeleteBWAHAHAHA yes, Rebekah, that's exactly what happens at our home! :D I was struck when I visited your family how much it reminds me of mine- just younger. :P I enjoyed reading your comments!
DeleteThanks for reading and commenting, I will see if I can get around to the book tag, no promises. ;) :D
Oh my goodness!!! Soooo funny!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou guys are goofy!
Thanks for reading, Tiffany! :D
