The Child in All of Us. . .

How many of you love to play with toys from when you were little? How about watching movies that you watched when you were younger?
I always thought it's important to embrace our youth and to embrace what we used to be. I can't say I was ever embarrassed that I still watched Fivel Goes West or other cartoon classics like Balto, and I can tell you for certain that all of us young adults still at home (ranging from 10 to 22) still sit down at the Television to watch Bambi and newer kids movies like Kung Fu Panda and Ninjago. Never, ever be embarrassed that you still have a bit of kid in you, because that's how God made you! One of my favorite quotes about growing up was from the movie Fivel Goes West when the father mouse was talking to his son.

If growing up were easy then why does it take so long?

How true! Growing up is hard but full of fun experiences along the way. We need to be happy with where we're at right now, not what we were before and what we'll be in the future. We need to be happy with what God's given us now, not want what's in the future or long for what's in the past. Embrace what you are, because it's not going to be that way forever! Always, always thank God for what he has done for you and what he is going to do for you.

With that said, I'll leave you with a link to the commercial of a movie I've been waiting for a long time.

Oh yes, The Lego Movie! Don't ever say you're too old to watch a kid's movie-The Lego Movie comes out two weeks after I turn 18 and I'm going to go see it with my 19 and 22 year old sisters! I mean after all, who doesn't love Legos? :)
*Hey buddy, would you like a glass of water?*
*Well actually yes-*
*Too bad!* (knocks water off the counter)

I cannot wait for this movie! Best movie ever! :D

Have a wonderful week and keep on smiling!

  1. You're NEVER to old to be a kid again! I work in the kid's ministries in my church, and let me tell you, I've done some CRAZY stuff with them!
I LOVE Veggietales! That's one show me and my sisters can all agree on! I mean, who doesn't love a singing vegetable!?!?

    1. Ah yes, veggietales. We can still quote most of those word for word in our family. :) We still have quite a few of them, too. I always loved the first one the most, Where's God When I'm S-scared. It was so funny! :)
Kids are so much fun! How fun is that, working with kids, huh? I give riding lessons to a lot of different kids and I just love my students, they're all so cute and fun.
