Back Again!

So I've been gone from this for a long while...

Hi readers! Let me re-introduce myself- I'm Emily and I haven't blogged here for a while, so in case you forgot me it's nice to meet you all again. ;)

No really, sorry I haven't posted in a month. Life has been... shall we say hard, crazy, stressful but full of small little God things?

My little sister R. is going through some pretty hefty chemo. She's been very sick the last month and has lost all her hair. She is tired of treatment and is pretty grumpy, often taking out her frustration on my parents, who are exhausted from the little sleep they've gotten. So that's been pretty hard. Prayers still appreciated for R. and my parents especially.
Apples with... porcupine quills in them? A
story for another post... ;)

On the bright side, I had a wonderful month of work and we are now done with apple season! We made apple sauce with caramel, caramel apples, apple cider, apple cake, celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday, picked apples, sold apples, ate apples, gave the goats bad apples, peeled apples, stocked up on apple butter... basically we did everything we could with the apples and we are now officially sold out of apples on the farm. It seems I have a month off of work until Christmas tree season starts up the day after Thanksgiving. Then it's time to make wreaths!

Though it's been hard and stressful at home (and work has taken up a lot of my life, I was working almost thirty hours a week), I know the Lord is with us. He loves us and cares for us and has guided us through these hard times. We're tired, sad, and trying to just take life one step at a time. But I know he's good.

Red Crisis will be available this week!
Oh, ANNOUNCEMENT: Red Crisis will be available next week! Starting every Friday I will be posting a chapter of Red Crisis on this blog for all of you to read! Why did I decide to change it from an ebook to a blog book?
Simple- I am terrified that it's not my best work (and it isn't) so I decided not to release it as a book. But since I did so many posts on it I figured I'd best make it into a blog post series. So starting this Friday you can be ready to read about Cecelia and Lilly as they embark on their scary adventure!

Let me think... any other announcements...

There will be another Write This Piece! Music assignment soon. (I have the perfect song picked out.)

I eventually will put up that post about the Washington fires as soon as I get my last five pictures from my sister.

Bodie has decided swords are for chewing on.
You may have noticed that there's a new tab next to the Hijacked! Tab- I have a new blog post series debuting sometime this month about our big, beautiful world! That will be fun! :)

Fourteen Cossacks is hereby DISCONTINUED until I fix some major errors in the story. Cossacks don't wear ushankas, they wear papahkas. Also I have been delving into some more research and I want to rewrite a whole bunch of the scenes I posted. So sorry about that! Maybe I'll resume that some other time. I did like where the story was going...

There will be another "Say What?" dialogue assignment.

The Mornellys will be back for another story very soon, plus they have a special announcement to the public they'd like to share.

Eventually I will do a post on a book that I really will probably release next year sometime for sale. I think everyone will like it... maybe... hopefully... *hides in corner and cries with fear* ;)

There will NOT be another hijacked! post. (Not if I can help it! *evil laughter in the background* At least I hope there isn't another one...)

A special post on a collection of coins and trinkets from around the world will be coming up soon.

Annndddd the usual picture posts, randomness, and Bodie posts are on the schedule too.

So I think that's it as far as announcements and life and stuff like that. Since I have the month off I should be more regular on blogging on here. So I hope to see you wonderful readers around, read some more of your blogs (public apology for not keeping up on any blogs! I'm sorry! :'c) and resume our awesome blogging community fun!

Thanks for reading and God Bless!

-Emily McC.

My very special WWII coins. The one on the left is from a friend
who bought it for me on my birthday. The one on the right (which I'll post a better picture of soon)
is from my Uncle. It's a 1938 WWII Nazi penny. Not kidding. It's REAL. I don't think the one
on the left is real but it's a replica of the real coin.

Yes, porcupine quills in apples. It's a long story, but the only victim was a dog. There will be pictures to tell the story. ;)

Everyone seems to be pretty excited for the Mornellys to make another appearance. I'm glad! They'll probably get to do some story posts in-between "Red Crisis". Hope you all enjoy those! Thanks for commenting!

Yep, we make wreaths at my work, too! Probably about the same amount or less than your family. :) It's so much fun! We kinda just do a lot of things at work.

And yes, we'll get to the prickle apple post... actually tonight. :) Can't wait to see what everyone thinks! :)

    Yes! Red Crisis!
    Cool coins.
My family's spending time with Grandparents. Same story... APPLES! (I think 23 gallons of apple juice today... maybe that's not a lot here in the U.S ).
I will pray for R and your family.
Have you read Dana's Valley? It's by Janette Oak ( who I typically don't read, because she's, well, kinda mushy). It's very touching. It's one of the two books so far that has made me cry (so much that for a few seconds my sister considered calling the insane asylum ). It's also encouraging in a way.

    1. Hi R! Thanks so much for commenting and praying for my family. We really appreciate it. The cancer my sister "R" is going through has affected us all. So we really are grateful for all the support from our friends and family. <3

I have never read Dana's Valley. I may have to check that out. :) I just finished "Viking's Quest" so I'd be interested in finding another book(s) to read. ;) Thanks for recommending it.

Oh, so you know about apples, too! Yeah, we made about almost a thousand gallons of apple cider this year. It was hard work but fun. :) I'm glad someone knows about the apple season, too!

      Thanks for commenting!
