Bookshelf Tag!

Well hello everyone! I was tagged in the "Bookshelf tag" by the wonderful Blessing Counter. Thank you so much for tagging me, Blessing, I really wanted to try this! :D So here we go, it's time to learn about my bookshelf!

Describe your bookshelf (or wherever it is you keep your books- it doesn’t have to be a shelf) and where you got it from:
Actually, my personal bookshelf is very small. I live upstairs with my youngest sister who has down syndrome, so I only keep a couple books up there so she doesn't get into them. The bookshelf I keep most of my books is in my sister's room.
My book shelf is the one with the bucking
horse box next to it.
The other bookshelf with some of my books.

Do you have any special or different way of organizing your books?
Uhm, I kinda just throw them all in there. *Sheepish grin* I never really organize them.
My bookshelf. Sorry it's so blurry!

What's the thickest (most amount of pages) book on your shelf?
History of World War II, the Armed Services edition. It is HUGE. I think it's about seven hundred pages.

What's the thinnest (least amount of pages) book on your shelf?
Australia- a geography. I think it's thirty pages. :) It was written in the 1940s.

Is there a book you received as a birthday gift?
Coin Collecting was given to me by my second to oldest brother for my eighteenth birthday. :) It's very special to me!

What's the smallest (height and width wise) book on your shelf?
All I Need to Know I Learned From My Horse. It's pretty tiny but hilarious. :)

What's the biggest (height and width wise) book on your shelf?
They Came to Destroy America. I LOVE THAT BOOK. AUGH! Best book on WWII espionage EVER! It was written by former CIA and FBI agents, so they know what they're talking about. Plus, It's got the real FBI files from the cases of espionage I've studied so much. :)

Is there a book from a friend on your shelf?
All of these books were given to me by a very dear friend. :) I love them!

Most expensive book?
I usually buy books second hand, but Agent 146: A Nazi Spy in America is one of the first ones I ordered on the internet. I HAD to have this book- it's my favorite espionage tale ever. I love this book, I've read it three times. :)

The last book you read on your shelf?
Eratum and I Found God in Soviet Russia. I'm still going through the Soviet Russia one.

Of all the books on your shelf, which was the first you read?
I honestly cannot remember. It's one of these two- either My Father's World or The Indian in the Cupboard. Both were childhood favorites- I loved those books!

Do you have more than one copy of a book?
My sister got pretty jealous when I got a copy of Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover's Soul, so she went and bought a copy for herself. ;)

Do you have the complete series of any book series?
Just the Circle C Milestones so far- I usually get all my books from the library and rarely buy books unless I really loved them. :)

What's the newest addition to your shelf?
Erratum and I Found God in Soviet Russia again. :)

What book has been on your shelf FOREVER?
My Father's World and the Indian in the Cupboard again. :)

What's the most recently published book on your shelf?
Heartbreak trail.

The oldest book on your shelf (as in, the actual copy is old)?
Australia again! :D

A book you won?
Circle C Short Stories. I got first place in that contest. :)

A book you'd hate to let out of your sight (aka a book you never let someone borrow)?
Agent 146: A Nazi Spy in America. I can't bear to part with this book!

Most beat up book?
Marta and the Nazis. I really like this book... and it's kinda old, as you can tell. The back cover has ripped off. :)

Most pristine book?
Little Moses. The cover is probably the best conditioned out of all my books.

A book from your childhood?
Need I say it again? :) This book, I probably read it six times. I have loved this book since I was eight years old. I really, really enjoyed it. Again, I don't buy books very much, I get tons of them from the library. This book is very dear to my heart. If I like a book, then I buy it and reread it over and over again, which is why I have so few.

A book that's not actually your book?
The Indian in the Cupboard. Another book I read probably a gazillion times. It actually belongs to my family, but I stole it because I have most of the other books in the series and loved them all. :)

A book with a special/different cover (e.g. leather bound, soft fuzzy cover etc.)?
Reflections of a Horseman. I love the cover on this, it's really beautifully done and so unique. I got this for my graduation from my trail partner last year.

A book that is your favorite color?
This is bad... but Nicolae from the Left Behind series has a purple color that I love! That's one of my favorite shades of purple right there. ;)

Book that's been on your shelf the longest that you STILL haven't read?
Here we go again, another repeat... Australia. I love this book but I never read it. I just loved staring at the cover. I got it so I could have it, just like my Australian character, so I felt like I had his book! :D

Any signed books?
Four! Hope of Wind River, Circle C Stories, Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision, and Little Moses.

Alrighty! That was fun to answer! As kinda a fun side bonus, here are some pictures of what my hallway looked after I finished going through the books, as well as what happens when I stack the books in their correct genre.

The hallway. I have more books than this quiz lets on, I just ended up spotlighting all my favorite books! :D

    1. Hey, Jesseca, in Cannon Beach there's a fantastic used book store that our family visits every time we visit that area. I've gotten like 13 books from that store, and loved all of them! I highly recommend it if you have time to drop by and look around. :)

    3. Jesseca, you would love those books! You would find them fascinating, but that WWII Arms Addition book is very rare and hard to find. It was service members only I believe. :) Glad you enjoyed the post!
